the positive of this company is their communication and it seems like timely response if you need something done on short notice unfortunately that doesn’t make up for the absolutely obscene prices they charge. im still struggling to accept what they charged me to replace what you see in the picture and am really frustrated there’s nothing i can do about it. the job cost 406 dollars and took 30 minutes. when i called to ask why it was so costly, i was told i got a discount because they waived the 65 dollar charge for them to show up. definitely the most cheated i’ve felt in awhile. used bilz, bierman plumbing, or even franks plumbing if you can get them to show up.

Travis and Andre were terrific! They did 3 light installations, including 1 that required a scaffold. Very professional and everything looks great. They were efficient, friendly and found a solution to the higher installation requirement. Will definitely use VanderHyde for any further needs

Very satisfied with Vander Hyde Services. They replaced our old leaky water heaters with an on demand unit that has worked fantastic! The staff was knowledgeable, timely, professional and friendly. The installation went smooth and passed inspection the first time. The crew even brought to our attention some pipes that were not properly installed by a previous contractor and fixed them on the spot. A+ service!

Wow! We called so many places to try to get our commercial dishwasher fixed and either they didn't service commercial equipment, or it would be several days before they could come to repair it. Your customer service was super professional. Matthew and his teammate were dressed professionally, diagnosed the issue and quickly got to work to fix it. After the repair, he clearly explained the issue and asked if there was anything else we needed. We will call you first the next time we have any issues

Travis did an excellent job explaining and evaluating my Electrical Panel issues. He determined that the Electrical Panel was SAFE and operating properly. Travis also answered questions regarding Upgrading my Service to 200amps. He was very knowledgeable and Professional. I will use their company again, and I recommend them for your Electrical Service needs.

Good customer service, responded to my electrical concerns promptly. I was unable to be home for work-related reasons, which meant my wife - who recently had our baby - had to be the one home to deal with the technician. Travis and his partner were understanding and did a great job at walking her through the process. They also did great at evaluating, explaining, and fixing my electrical issues. (short circuited light fixture and outlet). No complaints here!

Shortly after buying a home in W Michigan, we hired Vander Hyde to do a range of electrical services, some HVAC work and a small plumbing project. All in, we spent about $10k. While it is very convenient and easy to schedule work with Vander Hyde, the service experience was very uneven. The electrical work was pretty good, but the plumbing and HVAC experience was a very bad. Vander Hyde is extremely expensive and makes every job complex as nearly each service has a range of five different options of pricing - even on a simple task like installing a sink. Our HVAC experience was the worst as the initial technician was incompetent and said he completed work that he clearly did not. The attached picture is of a furnace filter that he indicated was clean (right side). When I called and complained, they sent out a more experienced technician who was very nice, but ultimately was trying to sell me more than $10,000 of additional preventative maintenance work that the first technician never even mentioned. The convenience of hiring Vander Hyde does not make the experience of working with them worth pursuing.

The tech arrived and looked at the toilet and at the pipe underneath from the basement. Said they'd probably do a new seal (wax ring, and caulk), that is exactly what I expected. Said he was going to his truck to write up options. Comes back 10 minutes later and told me, I'd need to hire someone to come clean it before he will work on it. Says he has a number for a guy that does that. Then charges me $99. At my house under 15 minutes, in my house less than 5 minutes. See the pictures. Is this unreasonable to expect a plumber to work on? If the pipes need to be cleaned why not tell me that when I set the appointment. I could have worked on it myself over the weekend had I know the plumber would refuse to work on a dirty (from leaking) pipe.
